Have you ever woken up and the whole day feels like it started off on the wrong foot? You wake up to an alarming text that leaves you feeling anxious or off, or you stub your toe as soon as you’ve hopped out of bed, or maybe you spill your fresh cup of hot coffee all over the floor. I think it is safe to say that we’ve all been there. If we dwell on these frustrations, they have the power to derail our entire day and put us in an unpleasant mood. We may not be able to control or prevent these things from happening, but we do have control over our thoughts and our attitude. When we dwell on the negative it takes over. Instead, let’s declare God’s promises and remember he is sovereign and over all things.
