Emotions are not wrong or bad – they are the engine lights into your soul telling you that something inside needs tending God’s way. But so often, we suppress emotions instead of addressing them. We don’t know how to process our feelings because this skill set was not modeled for us in our childhood. Or we’ve been told don’t be angry or anxious or doubtful, so we SUPPRESS instead of ADDRESS. But this is not healthy or God’s way. Mindset to manage my emotions is a muscle I am still building, so I am thankful for experts in the mental health field who love Jesus and give us biblical principles.
